, 89, formerly of Altamont, passed away at 10:35 a.m., Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Elmhaven East Nursing Home in Parsons.

She was born December 18, 1926 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Emil and Mary “Addie” (Dixon) Holm.

As a young girl, she moved with her family to rural Mound Valley, Kansas where she grew up and attended school.

In 1968, she began working at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant where she worked until retiring in 1988 as a line supervisor.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and going to Grand Lake.

In 1942, she and Charles Bradbury were married. He preceded her in death.

On December 31, 1945, she and Duane “Butch” Fentress were married. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2001.

Survivors include:
Three Sons – Gary Bradbury and his wife, Joan Mullin, TX
Kim Fentress and his wife, Betty Jo Altamont, KS
Kip Fentress and his wife, Josie Grove, OK
Daughter-in-law – Peggy Fentress San Angelo, TX
Thirteen Grandchildren
Nineteen Great-Grandchildren
One Sister – Emilene Carson and her husband, Leonard Orem, UT

She was also preceded in death by one son, Danny Fentress, on April 5, 2013; one granddaughter, two brothers, and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.

Memorials are suggested to the Altamont Recreation Commission. These may be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 325, Altamont, KS 67330.

Danny Ray Fentress, 62, of Emory, Texas, formerly of Altamont, Kansas, unexpectedly went to go fishing with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 5, 2013.

Danny was born in Parsons, Kansas, to Duane “Butch” and Reba Melissa Fentress on September 7, 1950.

Danny attended schools in Altamont, Kansas, and graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1968.

In January of 1971, he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base.

After leaving the Air Force, he returned to Altamont where he worked in the printing field and became the printing instructor at Labette County High School.

In 1979, he moved to Mertzon, Texas, and began working in the natural gas industry.

In 1998, Danny married the love of his life, Margaret “Peggy” McCutchen.

Danny worked for ConocoPhillips for 32 years in Mertzon, Texas, Zapata, Texas, Farmington, New Mexico and Midland, Texas until his retirement in January of 2013.

He and Peggy retired to Emory, Texas, where he looked forward to pursuing his lifelong passion of catching bass with family and friends. Danny was an avid outdoorsman. His two favorite hobbies were bass fishing and quail hunting.

He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Danny is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Emory, TX; Four sons, Darrin and his wife, Lucy, of The Woodlands, TX; Dustin and his wife, Roxanne, of San Angelo, TX; Brandon of Udall, KS; and Bryan and his wife, Bremen, of Sand Springs, OK; Two step-children, Courtney McCutchen and his wife, Heather, of San Angelo, TX; Amanda Evridge and her husband, John, of Midkiff, TX; Three brothers, Gary Bradbury and his wife, Joan, of Mullin, TX; Kim Fentress and his wife, Betty Jo, of Altamont, KS; and Kip Fentress and his wife, Josie, of Grove, OK; His mother, Reba Fentress, of Oswego, KS; Ten grandchildren, Daylan, Lindsey, Cody, Shelby, Ethan, Kayden, Taven, Macy, Benton, Levi and twin grandchildren on-the-way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other close family members.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Duane “Butch” Fentress; and his stepdaughter, Lindsay Ann McCutchen.

Danny leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and fishing memories to last ten lifetimes. He will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the KIDFISH Foundation P.O. Box 710 Little River, Texas 76554. These may also be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 325, Altamont, KS 67330.
