Sarah Joy DeBron-Mackey age 32 of Newcastle, Oklahoma (formerly of Norman) passed away Wed. Dec. 16, 2015 after a long struggle with physical and mental health issues. She was born on August 30, 1983 in Roseville, CA. to parents, James Frank DeBron and Joyce Marie Bridges. Sarah was raised by her mother and step-father, Joyce and Phillip Roth. Sarah was the 4th child of a lovingly combined family of six children. She spent her childhood years growing up in Duncan, OK. During her junior high years she attended Moore, OK schools and later her high school years, she attended Norman North High School where she graduated with the class of 2001.

As a young adult, one of Sarah’s first jobs was working in Norman at “Opies”. She later worked a few years as a Pharmacy Tech at the Norman Homeland Store. This past year her last employment was working as a Waitress at Jimmy’s Egg in Newcastle, OK. Sarah recently married the love of her life and best friend, Matthew Mackey. They were married on October 5, 2015 in OKC and were currently living in OKC. Sarah had many friends and loved spending time with them. She was a loving and giving person and especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, James DeBron.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Joyce and Phillip Roth of Newcastle; Grandmothers, Mary Dersch of Sutherlin, OR Exa Roth of Humble, TX, 3 sisters, Kristi Brewster of OKC, Robin Shultz and husband Josh of Alexandra, VA, Polly DeBron of Baltimore, MD; 2 brothers, Timothy DeBron and wife Catherine of Norman, Austin Roth of OKC; David Turner of Sand Springs, OK; 6 nieces and nephews, Olivia, Natalie, Koenraad, Violet, James and Camden; Many cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services ~ Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Summit Church, 5 North Main, Newcastle, OK.
