Dale Joseph Hoover, 74, of Port Richey, Florida and formerly of Tiffin, passed away December 11, 2015 at his home in Florida. He was born April 22, 1941, in Bascom, Ohio, to Royal J. and Ella Marie (Schleter) Hoover. He married Beverly Hoover and they later divorced. He is survived by his two sons, Michael Hoover and Calvin (Margene) Hoover, both of Tiffin; two daughters, Carol Bulger of Tiffin and Chrissy (Jack) Goodin of Bucyrus; brother, Steve (Crystal) Hoover of Dayton; six sisters, Jean Marie Pettaway of Bronx, NY, Kathleen Fitzpatrick of Bettsville, Jane (Steve) Wilson of Tiffin, Margaret (Larry) Spaun of Tiffin, Helen (Richard) King of Tiffin and Barbara (Larry) Aller of Findlay; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Hoover; and sister, Elizabeth Pachlhofer. Dale worked in the maintenance department at General Electric until it closed and then started his own company, Hoover Trucking, until his retirement. After High School, he served in the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged. He was a lifetime member of the Tiffin V.F.W. Post #2858 and the Tiffin Disabled Veterans of America. His Memorial Service will be at 12:00 Noon on December 23, 2015 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, with Rev. Ed Schleter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. There will be luncheon at the V.F.W. following the burial. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service December 23, 2015 at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to S.C.A.T. or to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
