She was born Jan. 30, 1951, in Tiffin, to Royal and Ella Marie (Schleter) Hoover. She married Richard C. King July 4, 1996.
Survivors include her husband, Richard, of Tiffin; son, John (Andrea) Carroll of Tiffin; daughter, Michelle (Ronald) Ardner of Tiffin; two stepsons, Robert C. King and Shane L. (Evelyn) King, both of North Carolina; a brother, Stephen Hoover of Dayton; five sisters, Jean Marie Pettaway of Bronx, New York, Kathleen Fitzpatrick of Kansas, Margaret (Larry) Spaun of Green Springs, Jane (Steve) Wilson of Tiffin and Barbie (Larry) Aller of Findlay; four grandchildren, Drew (Natalie) Ardner, Marcus Ardner, Shayna Lynn (Jeremy) Matheny and Steven King; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dale Hoover and Donald Hoover; and a sister, Elizabeth Pachlhofer.
Helen worked at Owen-Illinois packaging and later at Graham Packaging in Findlay for more than 10 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of Women of the Moose, where she served as past senior regent, member of Tiffin Eagles No. 402 and a life member of the AMVETS No. 48. She enjoyed volunteering for funeral dinners at the Moose, drawing, oil painting, gambling, bowling, golfing, fishing, creating meals, gardening and canning.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery
