Phyllis was a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Elks Lodge.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, a son Tony Ackors, a granddaughter Talina Welch and a great-granddaughter Makinzee Sinchez.
She is survived by 3 sons: Tommy Eugene and wife Christina Massengale of Borger, William H. Ackors of Amarillo, Robert and wife Belinda Massengale of Borger; 3 daughters: Cherry Lynn and husband Robert Lanham of Panhandle, Teena Marie and husband Shawn Graville of Fritch, Kimberly and husband Steve Rutherford of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday December 21, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Highland Park Cemetery, Borger.
Mrs. Massengale will lie in state Monday from 8am-11:30pm at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains.
