Mackinaw - The funeral of Loren McManus 85, a retired farmer, will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Haensel Funeral Home, with the Rev Lloyd Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Mackinaw Cemetery.
Mr McManus died Friday at Miami FL. He was a Mackinaw resident for 15 years, prior to moving to Florida eight years ago.
He was born Oct 28, 1875 in Ohio, a son of Daniel and Mary Spriggs McManus. He married Eva Calderwood in Wayne County. She died August, 1953.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs Muriel Merryman, Dundee; Mrs Edith McCarty, Los Angeles; Ms Reatha McManus, Mrs Lorraine Heitzman, Miami FL; two sons, Roy, Morton; Ralph, Miami FL; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Daniel Lorin McManus was the seventh child/fourth son of 8 children born to Daniel Bates and Mary Ann Spriggs McManus.
In 1903 in Wayne County, IL he married Eva Calderwood (1883-1953) and together they had 6 children.
