Ambrose M. Alcorn
Ambrose M. Alcorn, 91, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014.
He was husband to Margaret Fryman Alcorn for 61 years. He was born in Vermilion County, Ill. to the late Wesley Alcorn and Mary Ann Winkler Alcorn. He was a member and former deacon of Royal Springs Baptist Church. He served in the Army in WWII and was retired from Castleton Farms.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, James Alcorn; and daughter, Patty Ilg, both of Paris; and two grandchildren, Krys Ilg and Xavier Alcorn.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Alcorn, four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Luke VanHoose officiating.
Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robbie Whaley, J.C. Whaley, Mike Whaley, Bryan Whaley, Shannon Alcorn, Wesley Alcorn, Timmy Lee Murphy and Gary Whaley. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Alcorn, John Alcorn and Lewis Murphy
