Mrs. Minnie A. Carson, 90, a guest at the Clear Haven Nursing Home, Clearfield, and a former resident of Osceola Mills, was dead on arrival at the Clearfield Hospital, Friday. March 9, at 10:35 a.m. Born in Decatur Township on July 18, 1888 she was the daughter of Austin and Clarabell (Kephart) Davis. She was married to John Carson, who preceded her in death in 1956. She is survived by the following children: Milford, New Liberty; Austin, Osceola Mills. R.D. ; Mrs. Francis (Alice ) Ellis, Woodbury, NY ; Leslie. Brisbin; Mrs. Lois Sankey, Philipsburg; Mrs. Lester (Agatha) Kennedy, Osceola Mills. Thirty-one grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Anna Kephart of Clearfield, also survive. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Melvin and Donald, and three brothers and five sisters. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Osceola Mills, where she taught Sunday School for many years, and was a member of the Ladies Prayer Group. Services will be held Monday, at 1:30 p.m. at the church with the Revs. David Z. Lewis Jr. and Howard Witherow officiating Interment will be in the Umbria Cemetery. Friends may call at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, this evening. Sunday afternoon and evening and from 11 a.m. Monday until time of service.
