Brenda Stevens, age 71, of Clinton passed away December 14, 2015 at her residence. Brenda graduated from Clinton High School in 1961. She was a cheerleader, and kept that energy and spunk through life.

She graduated from Knoxville Business College in 1962 and then worked at Y-12 for 26 years. After retirement, Brenda and Ralph traveled out West in RV with four legged baby, Jake.

They parked a camper in Myrtle Beach, and the entire family spent a lot of time there. She was a member of IAAP, where she found mentorship and lifelong friends.

She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi for several years. She was a very active member of New Salem Baptist Church, and she loved her kids she taught through the years.

She is survived by husband and soul mate of 45 years, Ralph Stevens; daughter and best friend, Cristal Stevens Case and husband, Mark Case; sister, Margie Jones Hamby; special angels sent to earth to care for Ralph and Brenda, Shawn Stephens and Annette Wright; sisters-in-laws, Shirley Stevens Greene, Wilma Stevens Nichols & husband Phil, and Deane Stevens; brother-in-law, Mike Stevens & wife Eleanor; three four-legged babies, and numerous special cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Thank you to Dr. Thompson and Dr. Seay for your loving care and understanding. And thank you to Covenant Health Hospice, for making her last days such special ones.

She was preceded in death by son, Richard Daniel Stevens; parents, Claude and Edna Jones; and sister, Claudine Bunch.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to New Salem Church Building Fund or Sarcoma Foundation of America. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, December 18, 2015 at New Salem Baptist Church in Clinton, Tennessee.

A memorial and celebration of her life will follow at 7 pm. Service will be conducted by Rev. Kenny Rains and assisted by Mark Gallaher and Dr. Don Long. Music will be provided by her close and dear friends, Judy DeVaney and Donna Gehrig. A burial of Brenda's ashes is scheduled at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
