Mrs. Charles Scotchmer
Mrs. Minnie M. Scotchmer, 86, of Vine St., Hammondsport, died Saturday evening, October 2, 1965, at her home.
She was born in the town of Wayne, June 25, 1879, the daughter of Daniel and Alfreda Colgrove Stratton.
Mrs. Scotchmer was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of First Methodist Church of Hammondsport.
She and her husband, Charles celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary, December 22, 1964, and was believed to be the longest married couple in The village.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Lena White, Prattsbnrg; Mrs. Esther Rouse, Painted Post and Mrs. Lizzie Houck of Dundee; three sons, Howard of Wayne, Delbert and Lloyd of Hammondsport; one brother, Gilbert Stratton of Bath; One sister, Mrs. Grace Gleason of Bath; 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday in Bath, with Reverend Clair W. Statham officiating. Burial was in Rural Cemetery, Prattsburg.
