Hatch Flsh Jr. of 40 Oakwood avenue died Sunday at Tobey hospital. He was 69. Mr. Flsh, who had been ln poor health for a year, entered the hospital Saturday night. Death was attributed to a coronary thrombosis.

Jehlal Fish was a direct descendant of Jonathan Hatch, one of the settlers who founded the town bf Falmouth. His grandfather, Cornelius, went off to the Civil War from Falmouth.

Jehial Jr. was born in the family homestead on East Main street, son of Jehial and Adeline West Fish. At 14 he went to work on a West Falmouth farm, and very soon afterwards went to sea. For half a dozen years he sailed out of New Bedford in thc coastal trade, always under sail. For a time he worked on ore boats on the Great Lakes. Still later he was employed by the engineering firm of Stone & Webster in -Springfield.

On Sept. 12, 1921, he married Miss Marcella MacGllvray, who had come from Antigonrsh, Nova Scotia, to work at the Terrace Gables hotel. He remained, in Falmouth to follow his trade of carpentry. He worked on the Bourne bridge when it was built in the early 30s. During World War II he instructed men of the Engineer Amphibious brigade in boatcraft, wording directly under Brig. Gen. Daniel Noce. For 18 years he worked for James M. Pafford. Recently he had worked for Harold Harrison. Mr. Flsh leaves his wife and five children, Melvin John, Donald E. and Mrs. Aldo Milanese, all of Falmouth; Jehial 3d of South Boston and Ellsworth Paul of Levittown, Pa. There are seven grandchildren, Gerald Wayne, Patricia Bridget, Mary Theresa, Joseph Jehial and Ronald Patrick, all children of Jehial 3d, and. Myrna and Michelle, children of Ellsworth.

He leaves also a brother, Clarence, in Quissett.
