Death of J. P. Allen
Died at his residence in Conewango Valley, Thursday, Jan. 9th, of liver complaint. J. Palmer Allen, aged 65 years, 3 months and 13 days, brother of M. Allen of this village and Henry Allen of Clear Creek. Funeral services were held from his late residence, Sunday, Rev. Lyman C. Howe of Fredonia officiating, and his remains were brought to this village for interment. Mr. Allen was postmaster at his place under Cleveland's administration and was highly respected.
