MRS. MARY A. ABBEY DIES AT HOME HERE
Had been in poor health for years
FUNERAL THURSDAY
Rev. Archie R. Hillard officiates at service in Federated church
Mrs. Mary A. Abbey, widow of Frank H. Abbey, died at her home on Main Street near Randolph Central School Monday afternoon at 5:15 o'clock. She had been failing health for several years.
The daughter of Michael and Ann Dryer Flynn, Mrs. Abbey was born in Cherry Creek 81 years ago. She had lived here for many years. Her affiliations included membership in the Randolph Federated church and Fidelity Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and Randolph Grange. Mr. Abbey preceded her in death on December 19, 1922.
Surviving are four sons, Herman Abbey of Ft. Lauderdal, Fla.; Philip Abbey of Pasadena, Calif.; and Dr. Leon L. Abbey of Schenectady; also five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at the Randolph Federated church Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. Archie R. Hillard of Erie, Pa., officiating. Bearers were Milton Rice, Fred Walsh, Emery Clark, Warren Darrow, Harry Colwell and R. Z. Harkness. Burial was at Cherry Creek. All of the sons and their families were here for the services Thursday.
