Mrs. Salomea Banicki
Mrs. Salomea (Sallie) Banicki, 90, who resided with her niece, Mrs. Stanley Krol and her husband at 1124 W. Grace St., died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the Carlyle Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mrs. Banicki was born Oct. 30, 1883, in South Bend. As Salome Burzynski, she was married in 1910 to John Doryzkowski, who died in 1911.
In 1913 she was married to Leo Banicki, who died in 1937.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Frances Przybysz, Mrs. Hattie Lisek and Mrs. Rose Kubiak.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home.
Services will be at 1 a.m. Wednesday in St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. George Srymanowski C.S.C., pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
She was a member of St. Anne's Society and the Ladies Civic Club of St. Casimir's Church.
She was a member of the Auxiliary of Lottie A. Zell Garrison 146, Army and Navy Union.
A parish vigil service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
