John A. Granberg, 90, died in Claremont, California, Tuesday, February 20, 1996.

He was born in Park City, Utah, and lived in Salt Lake City until 1986, when he moved to Claremont, California. He was a typesetter and owned and operated Standard Printing Company in Salt Lake City, Utah, for many years. He was a member of the Salt Lake Typographical Union for 60 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Salt Lake City, and then Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Claremont, California. Mr. Granberg was a member of Argenta Lodge #3 F&AM, York Rite and Scottish Rite Bodies and El Kalah Shrine Temple, all in Salt Lake City.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; a daughter, Joan Irvine and her husband, Robert, of Claremont, Calif.; two grandsons, John Irvine and Jerry Irvine, both of Pomona, Calif.; three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted by members of Argenta Lodge #3 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah at 2 p.m. Friday, February 23. A memorial service will also be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Claremont, Calif.

Family suggests contributions to Zion Lutheran Church, Salt Lake City, Utah or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Claremont, Calif., or the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children Intermountain Unit in Salt Lake City. Funeral Directors, Evans & Early Mortuary.
