James A. Cain of Huntsville, formerly of Pleasant Groves, died Friday in Huntsville Hospital. He was 71.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Viola Cain; son, James Darrell Cain; brothers, Clarence, J.W. and Wade Cain; sisters, Ruby Jones and Venie Sanders; and son-in-law, Roger Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cain of Huntsville; children, Rhonda Brown of Stevenson, Anthony Cain, Kema and husband Bronson Patterson, Delana and husband Darryl McAllister, all of Huntsville; grandchildren, Lance Brown and wife Breanna, Tiffany and husband James Campbell, Jordan Brown, all of Stevenson, Patrick Cain and wife Jamie of Oak Harbor, Wash., Karissa Walls, Kambry Patterson, Rylan McAllister, all of Huntsville; great-grandchildren, Morgan Brown, Ethan Brown, Aiden Campbell, all of Stevenson; brothers, Howard, Sam and Jackie Cain, all of Woodville; sisters, Dot Brewer, Frances West, Jean Miller, Trenda McAllister and Janet Cain, all of Woodville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Groves Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Groves Cemetery. The Rev. Arthur McAllister and the Rev. Bobby Culver will officiate. Visitation began at 6 p.m. Saturday at the church.
