Eleanor J. Beattie, 90, of Marinette, WI passed away Friday, December 4, 2015, at the Luther Home of Marinette, WI. She was born August 6, 1925, in Marinette, to Clifford and Myrtle (nee Rothman) Beattie.

Eleanor resided in Marinette most of her life and was a graduate of Marinette High School, Class of 1943. For many years she was employed as an administrative secretary and bookkeeper by the School District of Marinette, working in the superintendent’s office. She retired in 1987.
Eleanor was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid. She also enjoyed playing golf and had been a longtime member of Little River Country Club.

Eleanor is survived by two step-nephews: Greg and Gary Wyder;
cousins including: Susan (Larry) Yakel, Bill (Diane) Beattie, Mary Beattie and John Rothman;
and a sister-in-law, Eve Beattie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Clifford.

Friends may call at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marinette after noon on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, with the Rev. Jon Tesch and the Rev. Frederick Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
