Curtis, 71, 4628 North Star-Fort Loramie Road, New Weston, died at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home.

He was born to Alvin and Leoma George McEldowney. His wife, the former Rebecca E. Sanders, survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Duane (Roxanne) of New Madison, Terry of Versailles, Curtis Jr. of New Weston and Scott of Greenville; a daughter, Kay (Polo) Perez, New Weston; a brother, Charles of Versailles; a sister, Mary Knick, Ansonia; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A retired farmer, he had worked at Werling & Sons of Burkettsville for 37 years. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville.

Funeral Mass was at the church, the Rev. Matt Jozefiak officiating.
