Nancy A. Gamble, 84, of Cheswick, passed away at her daughter's residence on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, March 3, 1931, she was a daughter of the late James and Ann (McGivern) Downes. She was the dear wife of the late John W. Gamble; loving mother of Carrie (Tom) Borland, of Cheswick, Michael (Donna) Gamble, of Springdale, Jayne (Michael) Meinert, of Naples, Fla., Robert "B.J." (Jody) Gamble, of Springdale, and the late John W. and Bill Gamble; sister of Kitty (Don) Dixon, of Ohio, Mary Grace Miller, of North Carolina, and the late Peggy Gessler and Jayne Frick; and sister-in-law of Norman Frick, of Verona, and Ben Gessler, of Allison Park. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a grandmother of the late Joseph Borland. Nancy was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, enjoyed bingo, crochet and the casino. She loved being with her family and friends, and was considered a friend to many.
Friends and relatives will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Harwick, with Father Alan Morris as celebrant. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, next to her husband.
