Services for Mr. Perry M.Franklin, 62, of Mineral Springs community near Dubach, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday July 28 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, La. The Rev. Ben Wasson will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport.
Mr. Franklin died Sunday July 26, 1987, at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston after a brief illness. He was a native of Lincoln Parish but had resided in Shreveport for the past 31 years. Mr. Franklin was retired as an accountant for SWEPCO and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Vienna, La.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Franklin of Mineral Springs; two sons, Scottie W. Franklin and Darryl K. Franklin, and a daughter, Karen "Lynn" Todd, all of Shreveport; two brothers, Theodore Franklin of Mineral Springs and Alton Franklin of Monticello, Ark.; three sisters, Wista Duke and Edna Franklin, of Mineral Springs, Clara Beth Knox of Simboro, La.; and four Grandchildren.
