Mrs. Axsom is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. "Aunt Mickey" hosted many family swim parties during her long and fruitful life. She enjoyed working with the Chula Vista Women's Club, the AAUW, the Grossmont Community Concert Association and her sorority bridge clubs as well as Marvin's professional organizations. Martha completed her BA from SDSU in 1976 and cherished her class ring. She spent her last year near her daughter in Temecula, CA enjoying health, friendship, Church, and family. Her family thanks her for being a great teacher, supporter, provider and friend. Her Memorial Service is Wednesday, September 7th, at 1:30 at Glen Abbey's Chapel of the Roses, with a Viewing at 12:30 and graveside service at 2:00. Friends are welcomed to greet family and bid Martha farewell.
