Irene Dalen, a former resident of Redfield, died Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of cerebral hemorrhage.

Irene was born in Dexter and moved to Des Moines from Redfield 20 years ago. She was a seamstress, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Redfield Christian Church and Rebekah Lodge.

Irene L. Dalen, 94, of 2625 Arnold Road died of cerebral hemorrhage Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church chapel. Burial will be in the Dexter Cemetery.

Mrs. Dalen was born in Dexter and moved to Des Moines 20 years ago from Redfield. She had been a seamstress and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Redfield Christian Church and Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include a son, Bill Hill of Wills Point, Texas; a stepson, Edwin Dalen of Rockford, Ill.; two step-daughters, Mary Shaebel of Milwaukee and Betty Page of Everett, Wash.; seven grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 30 step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a step great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home.
