Gary Jon Meyer, age 38, of 1126B S. 18th St., Manitowoc, passed away Thursday morning, March 23, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 1995, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Gerald Foley with burial at St. Anne's Church Cemetery, Francis Creek.

Gary was born January 7, 1957, in Manitowoc, son of John T. and Lucille Schrimpf Meyer. He attended Lincoln High School and was a lifelong Manitowoc resident. Gary had been employed by LeClair Trucking Company of Two Rivers.

Survivors include his parents, John T. and Lucille Meyer, Manitowoc; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lois Meyer, Manitowoc; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cherie and Al Petrashek, Two Rivers, Sandy and Steve Waskow, Two Rivers, Bev Meyer, Whitelaw, Debbie Meyer, Green Bay; eight nieces and nephews, Nicole and Casey Meyer, Nathan and Kari Petrashek, Melissa, Andy, Becky and Jenny Waskow; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Adeline Meyer, Francis Creek; God parents, Arthur and Carol McManus, Wauwatosa, many aunts, uncles, cousins, many special friends and his faithful friend Toby. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Schrimpf, one cousin, David, aunts and uncles and a very special cousin, Brian McManus.

The family will greet friends at Holy Innocents Catholic Church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

"The family wishes to thank Dr. Barylak and his staff and the entire Oncology unit of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for the care and concern they gave Gary."

"Gary was a free spirit who enjoyed fishing and hunting outdoors and sending time with his family and friends."
