Infantile Paralysis Claims Life Of Grace Kortens, Route Seven
Infantile paralysis claimed the life of 16 year old Grace Caroline Kortens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kortens, at the home on Route 7 early last evening. The young girl had suffered patiently and the somewhat expected end came as a relief.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 from the home to Francis Creek where interment will be made, the Rev. Schiller officiating.
Miss Kortens was born September 14, 1911, and was a graduate of the local high school, entering the county normal in this city this fall. She was a student at the normal until taken seriously ill.
She is survived by her parents, two brothers, Edward and Paul, and three sisters, Eleanor, Gladys and Ruth, all at home.
