Vernon Rader Suffers Fatal Heart Attack

Vernon H. Rader, 60, East Atchison, Mo., died last night at the Atchison hospital a short time after he suffered an appar­ent heart attack at his home and was admitted as a patient.

He had been employed the last seven years as a drum dryer operator for Midwest Solvents Co., and previous to that was employed by the Atchison Board of Education for building main­tenance.

Mr. Rader was a bus driver and employee of the Midway High school at Denton before moving to Atchison 11 years ago, and formerly was a farmer in the Denton community.
He was born March 6,1910, at Hiawatha, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Rader, and attended Den­ton schools.
Mr. Rader and the former Gwendolyn Young of Troy were married Dec. 21,1933.

Surviving are Mrs. Rader of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Charles (June) Nimz,jr., Topeka; Mrs. Thomas (Sharon) Spence, Ventura, Calif., Mrs. Terry (Mary Ann) Shepley, Leavenworth, and Gwendolyn Sue and Betty Jo Rader of the home; a son, Quartermaster Third Class Gary (Steve) Rader, Norfolk, Va.. stationed on the USS John F. Kennedy; his moth­er, Mrs. Maude Rader, Hiawa­tha; eight sisters, Mrs. Roy Boyce, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Robert Waggoner, White Cloud, Mrs. Bynal Benson, state of Idaho, Mrs. Florence Wilson, Topeka, Mrs. Ralph Brown and Mrs. Betty Hoffman, both of Horton, Mrs. Jim Thomas, Falls City, and Mrs. Harlan Hazen, Denton, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will beheld at 11 a.m. Monday at the Denton Methodist church with the Rev.

Funeral services for Vernon H. Rader, 60, East Atchison, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Denton Methodist church with the Rev, John Davidson and Pastor Lylec Wahlert officiating. The body will lie in state at the church an hour before the ser­vices. Burial will be in the Den­ton cemetery. William Tilton, Robert MacPherson, Gerald Turpin, Kenneth Bottiger, Har­old Myers and Wilfred Keebler will be pallbearers. Members of the family will be at the Stan-ton mortuary from 7 to 9 to­night when friends may call. Mr. Rader died Thursday at the Atchison hospital.
