Mrs. Nutting was a leader in movements for the betterment of humanity and a promoter of the Temperance Campaign in Indianapolis, IN, and also in that city she established the flower mission.

She wrote poems for her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband and an infant.
Survived by the following children: Mrs. George Dodd of Greewood, Missouri; Miss Carrie Nutting of Carlinville, IL; Mr. W. H. Nutting of Salt Lake City; Prof. C. C. Nutting of Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs. Charles Highfield of Carlinville, IL; and Mrs. J. M. Rose (This might be an error and possibly should be Ross) of Bozeman, Montana.

Funeral services were in Carlinville.
