Daughter of the late Noel and Anna Powers Burge, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Neil Dwayne "N.D." Carter and by her second husband, James Craig. Additionally, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Burge. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolutions. She enjoyed needlework and quilting. She was a member of Sunray Baptist Church where her funeral was held on December 2, 2015, with The Rev. Andrew Martin. She was survived by her sons, H.A. Carter (Terry), Noel W. Carter (Kathy) and Neil Carter (Jean); grandchildren, Tonya Morgan (John), Andrew Carter, Sarah Carter, Noel Carter, Jr. (Emy), and Krista Carter; great-grandchildren, Nikki Morgan and Catlyn Perkul; and an extended family of relatives and friends.
