Mrs. Anna Gruber, 75, formerly of Route 2, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, July 10, at Holy Family Hospital Extended Care Facility, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. James Massart will celebrate the Mass of Resurrection and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Gruber, nee Anna Augustine, was born July 31, 1906, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late John and Frances Pankratz Augustine. She was married to Anton Gruber, Oct. 2, 1929, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The couple then operated the Gruber homestead farm. He preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1966. Mrs. Gruber was a member of Christian Mothers and Altar Society of St. Anne Church.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Paul of Route 2, Manitowoc, Michael and Anita of Green Bay, and Norbert and LuAnn of Francis Creek; four brothers, Martin of Manitowoc, Andrews of Route 1, Whitelaw, Michael of Manitowoc, and Frank of Mishicot; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Grall of Janesville, and Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Schiesl of Manitowoc, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday until the time of services. A prayer service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday by Father Haen and the Christian Mothers and Altar Society.
