Wilma Jean “Cissy” Collier Blair, 90, passed away on November 29, 2015 at Mountain View Regional Hospital in Norton, VA.
She was born in Big Stone Gap, VA on March 5, 1925 to James Emmit and Pattie Peters Collier.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Walter Blair; daughter, Susan Kim Blair; sisters, Ruth Osborne, Bessie Bratton, Mollie Allen; brothers, James E. Collier, Jr., Charlie Collier.
Wilma was a telephone operator for C & P Telephone Company in Big Stone Gap for many years and was manager of the deli at Payless Supermarket in Appalachia, VA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Appalachia, VA. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker and a loving mother and friend. She was a blessing to all who knew her and was loved by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Gina Blair Lee and husband David of Big Stone Gap; grandchildren, Aaron Sturgill and Kathryn of Tuscaloosa, AL, Chelsea Lee of Johnson City, TN, Sommer Miller; great-grandchildren Kelsey Miller, Austin Sturgill, Sara Debord; brother, Bill Collier of Annapolis, MD.
By her request, there will be a graveside service at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Mitchell and Rev. David Lee.
