DEED: Original deed dated Dec 3, 1788 from John Crosby and Ann his wife to Richard Crosby for lands in Bedford Co., PA was found in George Crosby's papers in Augusta Co VA (need to find what county this deed is recorded in PA)

NOTE: Gilbert Cope Collection at PA Hist. Soc. said his children were Samuel, Susanna, Joshua, Elisha, and Alice. However some of these may be children of another Richard Crosby who m1 Elizabeth and m2 Alice.

This Richard needs more research to prove who his children are. It has been assumed that Richard is the father of George Crosby since George had a deed from John Crosby and Ann to Richard in 1788 however the marriage year means George would be born before the marriage if the birth year in the family bible was correct.
