She married Hyrum Asay Blackburn on Jan. 8, 1946, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Ora and Hyrum made their home in Lovell, Wyoming, from 1946-1955. Hyrum's employment working in the oil business took their family to multiple places around the globe, including Colorado and overseas to Tripoli, Libya.
Ora was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. Her example and testimony brought great strength and faith to her posterity.
She loved cooking, gardening and sewing. She always said her greatest treasure was her family and took great pride in them.
Ora passed away at the age of 91 years, at the home of her daughter, Pam Baird, in Billings, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hyrum A. Blackburn; sons, Ted C. & Hyrum C. Blackburn; 2 sisters and 8 brothers; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her sister, May Brinkerhoff, of Lovell, Wyoming; her children, Ann (Ken) Onstott of The Dalles, Oregon; Pam (Wes) Baird of Billings, Montana; Dean (Lori) Blackburn of Springville, Utah; and daughter-in-law, Vicki Blackburn Richards, of Lewisville, Idaho; 21 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell, Wyoming, with burial in the Lovell Cemetery.
