She was born in Knoxville, Tenn., and coming from Fort Lauderdale, had lived in Interlachen from 1991 until 1997 when she moved to Decatur, Tenn. She enjoyed dancing at the senior citizens center in Tennessee. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Prescott of Interlachen; one son, Murial Kirkpatrick of Meridian; four sisters, Belva Carroll of Chicago, Irene Petty, Hazel Sampson and Gladys Strange, all of Knoxville.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Masters Funeral Home in Interlachen with Rev. Neal Pillon officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery in Mannville. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 5 Mar 2002.)
