Louise had a great love and concern for others. She volunteered at the Wickliffe Library and was a member of Western Baptist Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed bird watching and loved all animals.
She is survived by her children; Phyllis Donahue, of Evansville, IN, Lisa Henderson and her husband Bill, Jimmy Ross and wife Paula, David Ross and wife Terri, all of Lovelaceville, KY; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her special friend of 85 years, June Wilson.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 40 years, James Rudy Ross; her sisters, Katherine Geiger and Asaleen Patterson; her brothers, Louis, Asa and Arthur Warren Purkel; and both of her parents.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with the Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
