Nellie J. Deppe, 93, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Nov. 21, 2015, at Bickford Senior Living Center in Springfield, Illinois.
Nellie was born July 31, 1922 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the daughter of Howard and Naomi Edgeworth Johnson. She was united in marriage to William "Bernard" Deppe on Dec. 2, 1944 in Mississippi City, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, her son-in-law, Danny and six siblings.
Surviving Nellie are her three children, Sylvia Buker, James K. (Carolyn) Deppe and Clint (Diane) Deppe; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She was a riveter on airplanes in Gulfport, Mississippi during World War II.
