A.J. (Dick) Bigler, 73, died in his home in Salt Lake City of cancer Tuesday morning.
He was born January 11, 1907, at Teton, the son of Armond Andrew Bigler and Ellen Jane Robb Bigler. He grew up at Teton and Sugar City and received his schooling there, graduating from Sugar City High School.
He was married to Grace M. Thomas February 15, 1928, in Sugar City. He worked for the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company for over 40 years. He moved with the company to South Dakota, Utah and Idaho, settling in Salt Lake City for the past 25 years.
Survivors include his widow, Grace, of Salt Lake City; two sons, A.R. of Los Osos, California, and Craig T. of Chevy Chase, Maryland.; two daughters, Mrs. J.L. (Pat) Ziebarth of Idaho Falls, and Jacci Weller of Seattle, Washington, 13 grandchildren,; two brothers, Hugh Johnston of Rexburg and Gerald Bigler of North Highlands, California.
The body will be cremated.
