Bonnie Bernice Payne, 95, of Gore, Oklahoma, was born May 16, 1920 and called home to the Lord on November 22, 2015. Bonnie was born in Vian, Oklahoma and grew up in the Muskogee/Cherokee County area.

She had many friends here and around the country. She was owner/operator of the Illinois Fish Tavern for many years. She loved making quilts and giving them to members of her family.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Bee Campbell and Lillian Mills; her husband, Jay Payne; four brothers, Fred, Ray, Jim and Jerry Campbell, and two sisters, Francis Smith and Kathryn Blevins.

She is survived by her daughter, Gracie Hickelheim and husband Skip of Vian, OK; one sister, Grace Elliot of Arkansas; one grandson, Vance Hickelheim and his wife Jennifer Sanders of Gore; one granddaughter, Charity Hickelheim of Gore; seven great-grandchildren, Blaine Ross, Kaden Hickelheim, Blake Hickelheim, Angel Nicole Hickelheim, Broklynn Ferguson, Christopher Ferguson, and Ethan Edwards Barnes.

She will be remembered for her smile and kindness and missed by all of those who knew her.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Harvest Time Church, with Chris Armer officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
