Marsha Ann (Lewis) Boyden, 67, of Vandergrift, went peacefully home to be with the Lord Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh. Marsha was born May 11, 1948, to the late James Lomax Lewis and Hilda Louise Dean Lewis Harvey. Marsha was a 1966 graduate of the Kiski Area Senior High School and the Westmoreland County Community College. Marsha accepted Christ at an early age at the Methodist Church of North Vandergrift and served on many usher boards at Central Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, which was her church home. Marsha was a member of the DAV Auxiliary in the Kiski Area No. 53. Marsha was previously employed at Small World Day Care in North Washington, family services of Western Pennsylvania, New Kensington and Tarentum offices, Allegheny Valley Hospital and Seton Hill Daycare Inc., as a parent involvement coordinator. Marsha and her husband, Ronald Victor Boyden, were foster parents to many children for 20 years. Marsha enjoyed bingo with her sister, Debbie, crocheting, cooking, gardening and spending time with her daughter and grandsons and traveling with her husband Ron. Marsha leaves to mourn, her beloved husband of 20 years, Ronald Victor Boyden, of Vandergrift; her daughter, Audra Louise Lewis, of Vandergrift; her grandson, Tyler Ezekiel Lomax Lewis, of Vandergrift; son, Enus Ellis, of Tacoma, Wash.; daughters, Bridgette Boyden, of Plum, and Stacee Boyden, of Columbus, Ga.; grandsons, Alonzo Marish, of Dallas, Texas, and Karrson Ewing, of Plum; granddaughters, Amanda Marish and Adrienne Marish, of Dallas; a sister, Deborah (Karl) Lewis Warren, of Vandergrift; and brothers, Austin (Pamela) Lewis, of Boyerstown, Dr. Rev. Robert (Frances) Lewis, of Virginia, and Sterling (Connie) Lewis, of Altoona. Marsha also leaves to mourn, her host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors who will cherish her memory. In addition, she leaves behind her beloved Bichon Frise poodle, Ms. Eboni Blustar. She was preceded in death by her parents mentioned above; stepfather, Ezekiel Harvey; sister, Bette Jean Howard York; and her niece, Maxine Howard.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the DUNMIRE-KERR & ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Additional viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in New Life Baptist Church, 319 N. Second St., Apollo, PA 15613 until time of services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. The DAV will hold a chapel service at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
