Evelyn Davis, aged 93, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Kentwood, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015, awaiting her future resurrection.
She grew up in a farm family with ten siblings, and she held fond memories of those times in her heart. She enjoyed her family and friends and found great delight in her volunteer work as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved planting flowers and going out for coffee. For numerous years, she and her dear twin sister, Alice, had a cleaning service during which they enjoyed their times together. They retired at 90 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland; brothers, John, Adrian, and Peter Cole; sisters, Hermanna Dekkenga, Maude DeKavis, Anna Bont, Betty Stanton, and Sena Luttrell.
Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Karen (Paul) Reynolds; granddaughters, Molli-ann (Ben) Carey, Hannah-Lin (Brad) O'Connor; great grandson, Lucas Paul O'Connor; sister, Alice Strick; brother, Neil Cole; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 5, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5423 Burlingame Avenue, Wyoming, Michigan. Interment was in Grandville Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends one-half hour prior to the service at the Kingdom Hall.
