Jennifer A. Gilmore, 47, of Strasburg passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 9, 2012.

Born in Dover on August 24, 1965, she was the daughter of William W. and Helen L. McNutt Lang. Her mother preceded her in death along with her maternal grandparents; Harry A. and Orpha S. McNutt; paternal grandparents, Clifford C. and B. Helen Lang; and her mother in-law, Wilma L. Gilmore.


Jennifer graduated from Tusky Valley High School. She later received an associates degree from Kent State University. On May 19, 1996, she married the love of her life, Steve Gilmore. She was a tax preparer for H & R Block in Sugarcreek for over four years and was also employed at Hearts Family Center in New Philadelphia for eleven years, which is where she and Steve met. She was a member of the Barrs Mill Church of God in Sugarcreek and was the assistant director of Harbor of Hope for many years. She loved photography and she was looking forward to opening her own photography studio with Steve in the near future. She was an Auxiliary member of the the Strasburg Fire Department, and was the departments' photographer.

In addition to her husband and father, she will be sadly missed by her father in-law; Donald J. Gilmore of Uhrichsville; uncle, Jerry Lang of Beach City; along with many church friends and family.

A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Brock Barnhouse officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park following the service.
