Jonnie Fae McCullars Conine, 80 years young, of Flint, Tx, went home to the Lord on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Jonnie Fae – a loving wife of 60 years, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many – will be missed terribly.

Jonnie Fae McCullars was born at her parents' home in Tyler, Tx on September 19, 1935, to the late John A. and Cleo Hall McCullars. She lived in Tyler her entire life except for 2 ½ years. She attended Gary Elementary, Hogg Junior High, and Tyler High School. She was a swimmer and diver, cheerleader, class favorite, and was very active in so many things. Jonnie Fae also attended Tyler Junior College where she was an Apache Belle and a cheerleader. She remained very active in her class reunion for Tyler High School Class of 1954 and with her husband, Jim's, class from Crozier Tech of Dallas.

At TJC Jonnie Fae met the love of her life, Jim Conine, of Dallas, Texas. They were married on November 4, 1955, and just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary – what a milestone! Jim and Jonnie Fae had four children. Jonnie Fae retired from La Gloria Oil & Gas/Crown Central Petroleum in 1998 after 23 years. She loved to cook up a storm and her daughters were the lucky recipients of her training just as Jonnie Fae and her sisters were from their mothers' teaching. Jonnie Fae also LOVED to shop and travel with her dear friends and family.

Mrs. Conine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim Conine of Flint, Texas; daughter Brenda Conine of Dallas, Texas; son Brian Conine of Tyler, Texas; daughter Beverly Conine Wheeler and her husband Nicky of Bullard, Texas; daughter Beth Anne Conine Mauceli and her husband Paul of Garland, Texas; grandchildren Michelle McLeod and husband Gene; Trent Wheeler; Drew Whittenberg; Caleb Conine, Cole Wheeler, Blake Wheeler, and Bellamy Rose Mauceli; great grandchildren Breanna, Maddison, and Lucas McLeod; and sisters-in-law Valli Conine and Sue Ann McCullars, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends were Jonnie Fae's greatest enjoyment in this life and she went through it all full of laughter, shopping, cooking, and loving.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy., Tyler, followed by a graveside service on Tuesday, November 24 at 4:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Sherman Mayfield will officiate.
