Born September 3, 1920 in Stow, Ohio, and raised in Quaker City, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude Gildow House. Her sister, Marybelle House and a brother, Ralph House, also preceded her in death.
She was a member of the First Moravian Church in Dover and enjoyed bowling and taking care of her garden.
Helen is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ellis E. Finley, whom she married on November 2, 1939. She is also survived by a daughter, Karen (George) Waldron of Dover; son, Richard (Pat) Finley of Spring, Texas; four grandchildren, Heather (Tim) Hodes, Richard (Kim) Finley, David (Sarah) Waldron Tracy Brinker and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park.
