Sweetwater - Mrs. Jewel Gambrell, 52, a resident of Morris Nursing Home in Roscoe, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday in Simmons Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Patterson Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Malcolm Brown and the Rev. C. G. Sewell officiating. Burial will be in the Sweetwater Cemetery.
Born March 24, 1915 in Eastland County, she moved to Roscoe in 1961.
Survivors include one son, Dean of Idaho; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Walton, Sr. of Sweetwater; seven brothers, Lee, George and Syeous, all of Odessa, H. L., Jr. and Lloyd Gene, both of Abilene, Jimmy of Sweetwater and Lane of Hurst; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Sanders and Mrs. Betty Shuler of Sweetwater and Mrs. Dow Wilson of Atlanta, Ga.
