Laura Ellen Bertram, age 68, of Richmond, passed away Tueday, June 11th at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was a retired 13 year nursing assistant in pediatrics at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born in Wayne County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Rufus and Mollie Burris Hurt, a member of the Red House Baptist Church, Richmond.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Alene Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio, Virginia Rollins of Richmond, and Mrs. Helen Atherton of Lexington; five sons, Ray Bertram of Lexington, Lynn Bertram, Larry Bertram, both of Mt. Olive, David Bertram of Richmond and Gary Bertram of Nicholasville; a brother, John Hurt of Monticello; and 24 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 22 with burial in the Lexington Cemetery.
