She was born in Guilford County, NC daughter of the late Jesse Clifford Smith and Marylou Hopkins Smith.
Mrs. Wells was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Grover.
She loved her family deeply and always put their needs before her own. She was retired from Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Wells is survived by sons, Mike Wells, Rev. Dennis Wells and wife, Carol, Brian Wells and wife, Sharon; daughters, Rena Robinson, Cindi Glenn; sisters, Shirley Ward, Kathy Grigg; fourteen grandchildren; twenty - seven great –grandchildren; one great - great - grandchild.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wells; son, Kenny Wells; granddaughter, Bobbie Jean Wells; five late brothers; three late sisters.
