Heart Attack Fatal to Wife of Brown Albright, a Resident of Smithfield Township
Mrs. Donia Albright, age 80, of Smithfield township, DeKalb county, mother of Mrs. Ralph Lockhart of 1110 South VanBuren street, Auburn, and Mrs. Cecil Friend of the Prosser road, near Auburn, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart hospital at Garrett.
Mrs. Albright had suffered a heart attack about six years ago and had heart trouble since then. She suffered a second attack last Friday and was taken to the hospital in Garrett where she was placed under an oxygen tent.
She had lived most of her lifetime in DeKalb county, and she and her husband, Brown Albright, moved to their home south of Hudson in 1915.
Mrs. Albright was the daughter of the late John Shaw and Emma McClish Shaw. She was a member of the Cedar Lake Church of Christ.
The body was removed to the Swank funeral home in Ashley for burial preparations. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cedar Lake Christian church at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Austin Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Center cemetery.
Surviving besides the husband and two daughters are two other daughters, Mrs. Glen Myers of Coldwater, Mich., and Mrs. Irene Forest, at home; a son, Wayne Albright at home; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mertie Walker of Lakeview, Mich.
