Francisco “D.J. Panchito” Luna, 57, passed away on November 16, 2015. He was born on October 10, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

“God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to me.”

Francisco retired as a supervisor from the City of Corpus Christi Parks Department after 25 years. He was an avid Cowboys fan he enjoyed going on Joes Tours to all cowboys games; he loved fishing, and was known as a local DJ who loved music “D.J. Panchito”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Celestino Luna and Elvira L. Luna; wife, Oma Lee Luna; sister, Guadalupe Cardenas (Danny), Olga Luna; sister-in-law, Viola Luna; and his nephews, Tino Luna and Placido Cuellar III.

Francisco is survived by his son, Gabriel Garcia (Veronica); daughter, Tammy Leveck; siblings, Alicia Luna, Celestino Luna, Adela Garcia, Janie Torres (Jose),

Johnny Luna (Adela), and Aurora Cuellar (Placido); numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was a very loved person who will be dearly missed by all family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
