Benjamin Charles "Ben" Arthur, 87, of Cannons Camp Ground Community, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015.

Born June 6, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Wallace Wood Arthur and Annie Mae (Cannon) Arthur and husband of Nancy (McKinney) Arthur.

Mr. Arthur was a member of Cannon’s Camp Ground United Methodist Church and retired from Harley Bag.

In addition to his wife he is survived by five children, Darlene Killian, Lorraine Staton (Dennis), Joy Fowler (Jim), Allen Arthur (Martha), and Candy Arthur; grandchildren, Paul Killian (Crystal), Stephen Killian, Jessica Arrowwood (Jeff), Ken Arthur, Ben Arthur, Amanda Blackwell (Brent), Sarah Jones (Dusten), Will Fowler (Nicole), and Ben Fowler (Alicia); 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lillie “Sister” Eaker; and brothers, Don Arthur and Harold Arthur.

He was predeceased by brothers, Jack Arthur and Ed Arthur.

Visitation was 10:00-10:45 PM Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307.

Funeral services followed at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Mack Kinnett and the Rev. David Ervin. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Cannon’s Camp Ground United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 3450 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307; or Charles Lea Center, 195 Burdette Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
