Emma Elizabeth Gerla Preuss, 92, of El Campo, passed away November 16, 2015. She was born on November 16, 1923 in Taiton to the late Adolph and Frances Podesva Gerla. She was a LVN and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 251, VFW Auxiliary Post 2786 and the CDA Court 1374.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Preuss; sisters, Mary Wendel, Agnes Socha and Anne Hubenak; and brothers, Richard and Charles Gerla.
Visitation will begin at 4 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Triska Funeral Home with a CDA Rosary being recited at 7 PM. Funeral services will begin at 11 AM on Friday, November 20 at St. Philip Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
