She was born March 29th, 1917 to Raymond and Hattie (Snelson) Perkins.
Margaret loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to sew, cook for her family, play Rook and entertain. She was also able to boast that she had attended the Iowa State Fair almost every year since she was a little girl. It was a love of hers.
On March 16th, 1940, she married William Josiah Harban and to this union were born three children, Martin, Alan and Julie. After the children were raised, Margaret began work for Meredith and retired in the 80’s.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, her husband, Joe, her sons, Alan and Martin, her daughter-in-law, Carol and her daughter, Julie.
Services being held at the funeral home at Hamiltons Funeral Home at 605 Lyon on Friday, November 20th at 11:00 am. Burial will be immediately following the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
