Jennifer Marie Bentley, 38, of Eldon Road, Appomattox, died Wednesday January 7, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Her fiancé is John Thomas of Virginia Beach.
Jennifer was born in Halifax, Va November 12, 1976 a daughter of Ray Edward Bentley of Appomattox and Evelyn Marie Gerhart Bentley of Appomattox. She was a graduate of High Tech Institute, a member of Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society, and was a former Medical Billing Coder for ProCareers of Lynchburg.
In addition to her parents and fiancé, Jennifer is survived by her sister, Lisa Bentley of Appomattox; nephew, Scott Bentley of Appomattox; aunts, Sylvia Gerhart of Murfreesboro, TN and Brenda Jordon of Lynchburg and Special Aunt Beryl Pixley of Murfreesboro, TN; cousins, Darrell Hamlette, Teresa Hamlette and Gerald Hamlette all of Lynchburg; her four legged children, dogs, Lily Anne and Miley Maye and cats, Mouse Man and Sophie.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Bryan Bentley, paternal grandparents, Ray P. and Mary Bentley and her maternal grandparents, Julian and Rubye Gerhart.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday January 10, 2015 at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Joey Anthony. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight (Friday) January 9, 2015 from 7-8:30pm and other times at the residence.
The family suggests memorials be made to Lynchburg Humane Society, 3305 Naval Reserve Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
